PASSPORT: Passport valid for a minimum of 6 months required by all.

VISA: Required by all except the following:
(a) nationals listed in the chart above for stays of up to 90 days;
(b) nationals of Andorra, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Korea (Rep. of), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, San Marino, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Switzerland, Uruguay, Vatican City and Venezuela for stays of up to 90 days.


Note: (a) 2. Nationals of Israel, Korea (Rep. of) and South Africa holding valid Estonian or Latvian visas do not need a separate visa for Lithuania. (b) Nationals or permanent residents of countries where Lithuania as yet has no diplomatic representation can obtain a visa on arrival, provided they fly with Lithuanian Airlines (TE) and arrange for their visas at least 48 hours in advance. (c) Nationals of the following countries may apply for a Lithuanian visa without first obtaining an invitation from the Lithuanian Immigration Department: Argentina, Belarus (max. 30 days), Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei Darussalem, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong SAR, Kazakhstan (max. 30 days), Korea (Rep. of) (max. 15 days), Macau SAR, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova (max. 10 days), Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Russia (max. 30 days), Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan (max. 30 days), Ukraine (max. 30 days). The length of stay permitted varies according to the applicant's nationality. Some of the above nationals are required to present a travellers cheque book (US$40 per day) and a health insurance certificate. Enquire at the Consulate (or Consular section at Embassy) for details.

Types of visa and cost: Single-entry: £7/US$10. Multiple-entry: £13/US$20. Special-entry (for employment or studies): £34/US$50. Transit: £3/US$5 (single-entry); £10/US$15 (double-entry). Group: £5/US$7 per person.

Validity: Single- and Multiple-entry: 90 days. Transit: 48 hours.

Application requirements: (a) Passport (valid for at least 3 months after expiry of visa). (b) 1 passport-size photo. (c) 1 completed application form. (d) Letter of invitation endorsed by the Lithuanian authorities (not required by certain nationals -see note above). (e) Fee. (f) If applying by post, a payment of £3 for registered return postage should be enclosed. (g) Other documents, such as hotel reservations and bank statements, may be required.

Working days required: 5. Visas can be obtained in 24 hours at an additional charge of £13/US$20 or within 72 hours for an additional charge of £10/US$15.
